Kris and Julie Hall, Bailee's parents, got married in Lake Lure. Surprisingly enough, the first time Bailee had seen Lake Lure is when Connor took her to the lake house they had up there.

Tamara and Scott Goforth, Connors parents, got married at The Webbley in Shelby NC. Scotts whole family is from Shelby and they took a Georgia girl and made her feel like family.

In 2001 Bailee was born, for now being the youngest. In this photo her older brother Seth was 12 and was very happy to play the part of a big brother.

In January 2003 Alex Connor Goforth was born, this is him on his 1st birthday. Connor was a very happy and loving child, he grew up loving sports and learning a lot from both of his parents.

Bailee begged for a little sister, and soon she got one. She is now the middle child and her little sister Laura grew up with a permanent best friend. Sharing toys and of course bathrooms all their lives.

Connor grew up with lots of laughing and dancing and amazing celebrations. He went to many weddings for his beautiful family and definitely learned some dance moves from his father and mother.

Bailee graduated from West Johnston High School and got accepted to attend ECU! She was very excited because that is where her brother went before her.

Connor graduated from Shelby High School, he also applied to ECU and got accepted. His father also attended ECU and he was excited to follow in his footsteps.

Bailee, going into her Sophomore year of college made some friends. Madi and Sarah her roommates, and then Will and Huv. Will is from Shelby, like Connor, and had told us one of his hometown friends (Connor) was coming up to see ECU before he started here. He was planning to come up around Halloween and we were all excited to meet him.

While Bailee took a trip to Alaska to visit some family, she asked Connor if he could take care of her pets. At the time she had two ferrets, that Connor loved, and we think those furry friends won his heart over. Bailee and Connor were still friends at this time but were definitely starting to win each other over.

Bailee and Connor went on their first big trip together to Busch Gardens with Bailee's family. They had been seeing each other since September of that year. This is where Bailee learned she could get a lot of stuffed animals because Connor LOVED playing the fair games there.

That same month, Connor decided to take Bailee home to meet his mother and his hometown friends. It was Bailee's first time in Shelby and she defiantly understood what he meant when he grew up in a small town, where everyone knew each other.

Bailee had never been to a wedding, and for the next couple of years Connor was able to take her to many. She got to meet many of Connor's amazing family members this way, making her feel right at home.

As Bailee was raised to be an animal lover, one day while they were driving back to ECU she asked Connor to pull off to a gas station. He did not understand why, since we did not need gas, but he did it anyways. She then surprised him saying she bought a dog off of craigslist and they were meeting them there to pick him up. Connor surprisingly did not get mad, and accepted that this was now his future, he even helped pick out his name driving back home. Soon after he fell in love with our craigslist dog, Cash.

For Thanksgiving it was Connors turn to meet some of Bailee's family. They all went to Disney and visited each park. They drank around the world, saw and learned new things about each other and their lives. They of course also went on many of the rides.

Tamara took Connor and Bailee on an amazing trip to Utah. Where Bailee quickly learned that snowboarding was harder than it looked. Connor learned he loved to fly fish, and Tamara and Bailee started a tradition to get massages together every vacation!

Going back home to ECU, Connor helped celebrate Bailee's 22nd birthday with her and her friends. Watching how he treated her friends as his made the night a wonderful celebration.

Connor watched Bailee switch Majors three times in the time he knew her. When she found her passion for Early Childhood Education, he was extremely proud. Although her graduating means her moving 4 hours away while he finished out another year at ECU, they knew they could make it through the distance.

Of course spending months apart, Connor and Bailee took turns traveling to each other throughout the year. One of those times of course would be their favorite holliday together, Halloween, where Connor was a chef and Bailee was a rat for Ratatouille.

On their regular Christmas vacation with Tamara, Bailee was not expecting to be proposed to. Connor set up a beautiful dinner on the beach, where Tamara then asked to take a picture of them. While they sat up to do so, Connor knelt to one knee and asked her to be his for the rest of their lives. Of course she said yes!!

Connor knowing Bailee's favorite thing to do is horse back riding, he decided to take her the day after the engagement for a ride on the beach. For as long as Bailee rose horses, she has never rode on the beach and it was definitely one of her favorite moments in life.

After going back to school and work, it was now Connors turn to graduate. Because he worked so hard he was able to graduate early and move in with Bailee sooner. Bailee is extremely proud of Connors hard work and all of his accomplishments over the years.

Now that you are all caught up in their story, they are excited to invite you to attend their next big chapter in their life. They are ready to learn and grow together, and to never give up on one another especially during the hard times. They have been each others rock for the past 4 years, and are ready to be that for each other forever.
